Well, why not? We're a two-person crew of writers, researchers, editors, online publishers, mortgage and investment counselors. Not bad for just two people, hmmm? These are our ramblings and we hope you find them relatively more exciting than our work. No, we're kidding, we LOVE the work! (But we do miss the steady paychecks *wistful sighs* ) Anyway, enjoy and look us up sometime at http://www.scribesunlimited.com

New Fraud Alert...

Somewhere around the email swamp, you may come across an address called salimnazar@financier.com, from Dr. Salim Nazar, who will try to pass himself off as a representative of Fonseca Finanz of South Africa.

They are supposedly an investment company that funds bonds and accepts financial guarantees from insurance or LOC's (letters of credit) from legitimate sources.

Yeah. Right.

We did much research and we have learned a couple of things:

financier.com is a bogus domain; it's been kept alive because some idiot decided he could cash in on hosting an email server. Google the domain and you'll see TONS of scams associated with it. (That would be Strike One)

There is no Fonseca Finanz in South Africa. Our search found a Fonseca Finance Ltd. in Switzerland however. (Strike Two, Doc)

As for our friend "Salim"? We've never heard of him. :-P But he insisted in his last email to us that he's legitimate and that all of his information is public record. Really?! So why can't we find it? Ohhhh, maybe he meant "public record" by saying, "I'll send you all the information in an email."

Folks, these guys are bad news. Among several other discrepencies and results, we can safely say that this gang stretches far and wide, with numerous "brokers" running the gamut, probably unaware of the whole thing.

They dared us to make this information public, and they'd meet us with their legal team. :-)

Yeah, we'll look forward to THAT letter. ;-)

Til then, dear readers, stay vigilent! Our oldest friends in the world were recently taken in a Nigerian scam for $1040.00. We're fighting mad about that. No one screws with our friends.

Oh!

Just a follow up.

Salim means "to send" and Nazar means "the eye" or "insight". :-)

Yeah, as we thought, it's a bogus name.

Cheers all!

No word from Salim Nazar lately.

Pity.

He was fun. We're sure he's enjoying his new email address, trying some new scam as we speak.

Be ever vigilent.
