Scribes Unlimited

Well, why not? We're a two-person crew of writers, researchers, editors, online publishers, mortgage and investment counselors. Not bad for just two people, hmmm? These are our ramblings and we hope you find them relatively more exciting than our work. No, we're kidding, we LOVE the work! (But we do miss the steady paychecks *wistful sighs* ) Anyway, enjoy and look us up sometime at http://www.scribesunlimited.com

Hail to the leak...

This is amazing.

Bush LOUDLY decried government leaks some time ago, swearing before this country that if anyone was involved in leaking classified information, they would be severely reprimanded (which in most instances, would mean a $500 pay cut for a few days, we're sure), then he turned around (or "flip-flopped", if you will) and stated that anyone convicted of a crime would be fired. (Yes, we're quite sure Dicky-boy told Bush to say that, to cover everyone's asses)

Now he turns out to be the Leaker in chief. He declassified the NIE Report 10 DAYS after he authorized Libby to release selected portions of the report in a pointless attempt to bolster his already-disproven Niger yellowcake lies. Coincidentally then, Libby (or Rove) revealed a CIA agent's identity at the same time in an attempt to discredit Joe Wilson who completely shot down the yellowcake lies. This was an ambassador to the United States. You usually get this position because you are respected and honest. Bush has never officially been elected president, sooo you get the picture we're trying to make here. Should America have trusted Joe Wilson over Bush? Daddy's boy said "No way, Jose."

Bush is legally allowed to declassify documents, BUT the NIE Report declassification came 10 DAYS AFTER he authorized its release. The selective declassification of documents for political purposes combined with the "coincidental" outting of Plame, reveal a pattern of executive abuse. Further, Bush's FAILURE to reveal his involvement in the Libby leaks smells of OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE to us.

Gee, maybe Bush should be seeing Fitzgerald right soon, ya'll.

And you know what? We still can't wait for the day when Cheney and Bush are both subpeoned to appear in court for Libby's trial. But doubtless they'll be in power when that time comes.

America sure hopes not.
